The Gene Peters Courtyard

A project to recognize Mr. Gene Peters for his generous contributions of time and talent

A message from Fairmont’s National Honor Society:

As their 2024 Service Project, Fairmont’s National Honor Society members are renovating the courtyard off the Fairmont cafeteria. The space, currently reserved for seniors, will be open to the entire student body. The renovation plans include better organized and additional seating, cornhole and ping pong, new landscaping and plantings, artwork and a spirit rock. 

To honor the years of events and thousands of memories captured in his photos, we will dedicate the newly renovated space as The Gene Peters Courtyard. We hope in this small way to recognize the immense impact Mr. Gene Peters has had on our Firebird Family.

Your contribution to our courtyard project will help us celebrate his commitment to fostering a spirit of unity and service among us all.

In Memory of L. Scott Inskeep

A visionary leader dedicated to student success and staff development, L. Scott Inskeep served with distinction as superintendent of the Kettering City Schools for 12 years. His leadership was instrumental in the founding of the KCS Forward Foundation, and we are committed to honoring his legacy to enhance the positive educational experiences of the students, staff and families served by the Kettering Schools for generations to come.

Scott always said, “Thanks for all you do for kids!” and we echo that sentiment to the over 50 donors who generously honored Scott’s legacy with gifts to the KCS Forward Foundation.
