Building & Equipment Grants

Grants for Building Improvements & Equipment

The KCS Forward Foundation funds grants for building-wide improvements within the Kettering City School District. From grounds improvements to major renovations, building grants can help the district move forward with projects that will enhance the educational experience for all students and staff.

The KCS Forward Foundation also funds equipment grants and facilitates in-kind donations to ensure that students and staff have access to the best possible resources. When students have hands-on experience with current equipment, they build marketable skills that set them up for success in their post-secondary education and the workforce. The KCS Forward Foundation is dedicated to building partnerships with industry leaders to enhance real-world experiences for students in Kettering.

“Oakview students and staff are excited to have construction of the Outdoor Learning Space underway! Warmer spring weather will allow for the completion of the ‘classroom’ and addition of technology and furniture to complete the space. This dynamic, student-centered learning space will support the diverse needs of our students.”

- Bern Schwieterman, STEAM Integration Coach

“This year, being able to wash clothes for students during the school day has been a huge help. We have a few kindergarten students that are still working on potty training and will have accidents during the school day. Because of the washer and dryer, I have been able to give them a temporary pair of pants, wash their clothes, and get them back into the clothes they came to school in. This is helpful because the clinic retains clothes and the students aren't taking home soiled clothing for their parents.”

- Nurse Anna Daniels, Indian Riffle Elementary
