The KCS Forward Foundation is dedicated to supporting the growth of Kettering students, staff, families, and the schools through building long-term partnerships. Everyone benefits from partnerships between the schools and alumni, community members, and businesses.
Workforce Immersion & Training
The KCS Forward Foundation funds grants for workforce immersion opportunities that allow staff to bring experiences from other industries back to their buildings. Through immersion in another industry, KCS staff will have cutting edge information about best practices in other industries that they will bring back to the district. These experiences will allow staff to inspire students’ future career paths along with supporting their growth in and out of school. Workforce immersions create moments for engagement for host businesses and organizations that cannot be replicated.
Building & Equipment Grants
The KCS Forward Foundation funds building and equipment grants to augment funding for permanent improvements, new programs, and major renovations to buildings throughout the entire Kettering City School District. Private funding through the KCS Forward Foundation affords opportunities for students to continue having access to the best possible equipment and facilities now and for future generations.
Fairmont Alumni Nation
Kettering has been a destination school district for over 100 years. Though alumni from Fairmont, Fairmont East, Fairmont West and Kettering Fairmont stretch across the globe, they are always connected through the legacy of the Falcons, Dragons and Firebirds. The KCS Forward Foundation is committed to building upon these traditions of success by building a vibrant association of Fairmont alumni and friends.
